3rd International Festival 2008

The Third International Festival of New Jewish Liturgical Music took place June 13 to 16, 2008 in Milwaukee in partnership with The Wisconsin Society For Jewish Learning, Inc. At a concert and five workshops, 40 new compositions, the work of 30 composers living in the U.S., Canada, England and Israel were introduced. This was the first Shalshelet Festival to be held outside the Washington DC metropolitan area.

The 2008 Festival was made possible in part by grants from the Wisconsin Arts Board with funds from the State of Wisconsin, and a grant from the Helen Bader Foundation, Inc. Read a review of the concert from The Wisconsin Jewish Chronicle.
