jordan shanerDenver native Jordan Shaner is a student of Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion’s Debbie Friedman School of Sacred Music. He has served as a cantorial intern at Congregation Oheb Sholom in Reading, Pennsylvania and North Shore Synagogue in Syosset, Long Island, and has been a frequent guest cantor at Or Olam, the East Fifty Fifth Street Conservative Synagogue and other Manhattan congregations. He also has taught at Brandeis University’s summer arts program, BIMA. Before his career in Jewish organizations, he was a concert and opera soloist. Highlights include premiering Aharon Harlap’s cantata Kohelet with the Artemis Chamber Ensemble and New York Virtuoso Singers, and solo performances with New York Lyric Opera at Carnegie Hall.  jordan.shaner@gmail.com
